Tsubaki oil (椿油) is a traditional Japanese camellia seed oil that has been used for centuries by Japanese blacksmiths and chefs to condition and protect carbon steel blades. It creates a thin, durable protective layer on the reactive steel, slowing oxidation and preventing active corrosion without affecting the knife's cutting properties.

Description

Easy to use: after cleaning and drying the blade, apply a few drops to the blade with a pipette and spread evenly with a soft cloth. The oil also works well for maintaining wooden handles—apply every 3-4 weeks or whenever the wood appears dry. Our Tsubaki oil is unrefined and cold-pressed—free of additives and flavors, 100% camellia oil.
